    CA State Proposed Legislation Regarding Body Armor (Assembly Bill 92)

    Integrity and honesty are at the forefront of everything we do here at Safe Life Defense. Therefore, it is very important to us to keep you fully updated on the legality of our products. 

    As of TODAY, it is still legal for civilians to order body armor online for personal use in the state of California.

    Rest assured, we have notified our legal team of this proposed legislation and we are preparing for any changes should they occur. We are giving this matter our utmost attention, in light of the body armor restrictions implemented in the state of New York last year.

    Lead Time
    All orders are shipped via USPS or UPS carriers. Each product page can be checked for the most accurate lead time estimate. Delivery times may vary by product availability, size selected, and shipping provider. Please note that we are unable to account for 3rd-party shipping delays, but we will always do our best to ensure your items are received in a timely fashion.

    Rates
    Shipping costs will be calculated based on the zip code you enter at checkout. All orders over $500 and shipping within the domestic U.S. will receive complimentary shipping and exchanges. If you have a promo code for free shipping, it must be applied and utilized at the point of purchase.

    If you purchased our 30-Day Product Protection and would like to submit a claim, please email ProductProtection@SafeLifeDefense.com with as many details about the incident as possible. We’ll launch an investigation and make sure your information gets processed as soon as possible. Depending on the details of your case, we may require you to complete and sign an official statement or affidavit. Replacements will be issued with the exact same style, size and color from your initial order.

    Warranties & Guarantees

    We stand by our products, support our customers, and recognize that your purchase is an investment. This is not because of price, but because body armor quite literally SAVES lives. To ensure you have the best experience with all of our products, we’ve created multiple assurances so you can purchase with confidence!

    Manufacturer Warranty
    To protect your investment, we back all of our gear for deviation from factory specifications and pre-existing manufacturing defects due to the design, material components, or construction of the gear. This may include things like loose stitching, detached closures, missing or broken parts, and rips or tears at critical junctions. Safe Life Defense will also cover you for normal wear and tear beyond our manufacturer’s tolerance. To qualify, the problem must “impair the functionality of the product” and cannot be deemed cosmetic. We are not responsible for premature ​​breakdowns caused by abnormal wear, accidental damage, negligence, intentional defacement, or deterioration due to improper maintenance.

    We believe in superior quality and craftsmanship, which is why all of our products are built to last. Each item you purchase is eligible for one warranty repair or replacement. We’re confident your gear won’t let you down, but if it does at any point:

    • Ballistic panels come with 5 years of coverage.
    • Carriers come with 2 years of coverage.
    • Pouches come with 2 years of coverage.
    • Belts come with lifetime coverage.

    For warranty claims, please email Warranty@SafeLifeDefense.com with your order number and several pictures. Up-close images of any damage to the product will be required to process your request. Upon approval, you may be subject to a small wait time while your gear is being sent back for repair or replacement. We do not supply loaner gear and always suggest having a backup on hand in case of an emergency. Warranty claims are transferable from the original purchaser so long as they are within the allotted date range.

    Incident Guarantee
    The reason you purchased our body armor was to protect yourself from deadly threats such as shootings, slashings and strikes — we get that. In the unfortunate event that you are shot while wearing our body armor, we guarantee a FREE vest replacement. At this time we do not offer this service for other incidents such as stabbings or slashes.

    All you have to do is email Warranty@SafeLifeDefense.com an official police report for the incident within your warranty timeframe and we’ll send you a new vest, on the house. It’s as easy as that!

    Fit Guarantee

     

    Your body armor will not protect you properly if it doesn’t fit correctly. If you end up with the wrong size, have no fear. We offer free exchanges within 30 days of your initial purchase. Just email Fit@SafeLifeDefense.com for assistance. Please note that our sizes are not the same as street clothing. To ensure proper fit, you may need to submit your height, weight, or other measurements along with several specific pictures to our team. We want to get your size completely accurate the first time so you can be protected sooner rather than later.

    Returns, Refunds, & Exchanges

    Your safety, comfort, and satisfaction are our top priority. We understand things happen, and that’s why we’ll always do our best to care for our customers fairly and reasonably.

    Returns
    All items returned to Safe Life Defense must undergo a quality control check for both their physical condition and the reason for your return. Items must be returned within 30 days of the date they were delivered to your home. To be eligible for a full refund, less the return shipping cost, your gear must be in the same condition in which it was received. We do not issue refunds for custom orders, personalized patches, and lost or stolen gift cards.

    Upon the arrival of your returned item(s) at our facility, your refund will be issued within 7-10 business days to the original payment method on file. To start a hassle-free return, please email Returns@SafeLifeDefense.com with your name and order number.

    Exchanges
    All exchanged items must undergo a quality control check for both their physical condition and the reason for your exchange. Items must be exchanged within 30 days of the date they were delivered to your home. To be eligible for an exchange, your gear must be in new, clean, resalable condition, and you must be a U.S. domestic customer. We are unable to authorize exchanges for custom orders.
