What makes the Level IIIA+ Enhanced Multi-Threat vest different from regular Level IIIA armor?

The Level IIIA+ Enhanced Multi-Threat vest includes all the features of the original Level IIIA armor (bullet, strike and slash protection), but with enhanced capabilities. It provides NIJ level 1 spike protection (up to 36 joules of force) and defends against specialized threats like Liberty Civil Defense 9mm & FN 5.7×28 40gr ammunition. It's the only soft body armor that achieves this advanced level of protection.

Is the Level IIIA+ vest NIJ certified?

Yes, the Level IIIA+ Enhanced Multi-Threat vest is NIJ .06 certified with model number SLD-PLUS. This certification ensures the armor meets rigorous standards for ballistic protection.

What types of threats does the Level IIIA+ Enhanced Multi-Threat vest protect against?

The Level IIIA+ Enhanced Multi-Threat vest protects against multiple threats: common handgun rounds (including .357, 9mm, 45acp, up to .44 magnum), shotgun rounds (00 buckshot, 12 ga slugs), high velocity submachine gun rounds, strikes, slashes, and stabs (up to 36 joules of force). It also specially protects against Liberty Civil Defense 9mm and FN 5.7×28 40gr ammunition, which are typically difficult for soft armor to stop.

Does the Level IIIA+ Enhanced Multi-Threat vest protect against rifle rounds?

On its own, the Level IIIA+ Enhanced Multi-Threat vest does not protect against rifle threats. However, when used in conjunction with Level IV rifle plates, the armor system can protect against rifle threats up to .30-06. For standalone rifle protection, SafeLife Defense offers FRAS (Flexible Rifle Armor System) options.

What warranty comes with the Level IIIA+ Enhanced Multi-Threat vest?

SafeLife Defense provides a 5-year manufacturer warranty on all ballistic panels and plates, and a 2-year warranty on all carriers. Additionally, they offer an Incident Guarantee, which means they will replace the vest at no cost if you are shot while wearing it (provided a police report is submitted during the warranty period). There is also a 30-day Fit Guarantee for exchanges if the vest doesn't fit properly.

How much coverage does the Level IIIA+ Enhanced Multi-Threat vest provide?

The Level IIIA+ Enhanced Multi-Threat vest provides full wrap-around side protection, offering over 15% more coverage area than comparable competitors' products. This enhanced coverage helps protect vital areas from multiple angles.
