The weather is starting to get warmer and summer is just around the corner. Let’s show support for the Guardian Angel Winners for May 2023!
All of our Guardian Angels this month will receive a FREE Concealable Multi-Threat Vest Level IIIA. This vest protects against all the most common handguns, shotguns, strikes and slashes, while still being comfortable and easy to wear.
Help us congratulate Evan, Brandon, and Brian!
#1 Brian London | Flight Paramedic

I’ll be able to work in my position as a specialty flight medic rescuing patients from medevac scenes and offering top-tier specialty services including heart/lung bypass, neonatal intensive care, high risk obstetrics, and advanced cardiology.
I’m the only openly Jewish medic within our service; every day I’m at work I hear patients and their family jeering threats and ill-wishes. It normally doesn’t bother me, but the vitriol has become ridiculous lately. It’s only a matter of time before someone takes it too far and threats go beyond words.
It’s the chance to come home at the end of the day; the ability to see my family tomorrow.
#2 Brandor Cotton | School Resource Officer/ Off Duty Security

I provide security at a private preschool program. This school was closely related to the private school shooting that we had in Nashville last month. I would be able to have concealable protection that allows me to be more protected while I love and protect these children.
I am currently doing this job with no ballistic protection. Outer Ballistic vest is not preferred because some of our teachers had children in the classroom of the most recent school shooting in Nashville. Firearm is concealed and school wants a non tactical approach to not trigger students or faculty.
Means i am safer in my off duty work which improves many areas of my life. Helps me come home to my wife and three kids. Helps me stay around to lead my Army National Guard Military Police Soldiers as we prepare for another deployment. Allows me to be safer to return to the training program for my county reserve deputy Sherriff program.
Mission First, People Always is my life motto. I’m a Sergeant First Class in the Army National Guard and training as reserve Sheriff deputy. 2 part time service and protection fields. I have realized in my tenure that giving is in my heart and I have to protect myself better so I can continue to give. I have other equipment I need to buy and deployment preparations for my Family. If I were gifted a concealable vest, it would allow me to continue focusing on service to others without neglecting service to my Family.
#3 Evan Murphy-Carpenter | EMT

I don’t want to have to worry about my own safety as I’m actively keeping someone alive in the field. Every second, and every ounce of focus counts when you’re treating life threatening injuries. With wearing this armor, I hope to be able to give more of my time, and more of my focus to the patient that needs me, regardless of the situation at hand. While PD is clearing the threat I don’t need to worry, I’ve got my vest on. I can deal with some broken ribs, this patients needs me.
While working for Mohawk Ambulance in Troy, Schenectady and Albany you see GSW’s and Stab wounds all the time. We will even have criminals come back to a scene to finish someone off while we are over them treating the life threats.
Owning body armor would mean I can put asides those worries of this call may be my last call. Granted I know it won’t take them all away, but not only will it give me more peace of mind, it will give my family and loved ones more peace every time I’m on duty.
