February 2026 Guardian Angel Winners

As February comes to an end, we are proud to continue our mission to equip everyday guardians with life-saving body armor through our Guardian Angel Program. Our Guardian Angel Program exists to support the individuals who selflessly protect their families, communities, and country, ensuring they have access to the protection they deserve.

We will continue donating FREE HG2 Concealable Level IIIA Multi-Threat Vests to individuals who try to go above and beyond to protect and serve. These HG2 Panels provide top-tier ballistic protection, designed to protect against common handgun and shotgun rounds, as well as strikes and slashes. Please help us congratulate the winners for February 2026 and recognize the important work they do to keep their communities safe. DEONTRAY CASIMERE | Police Officer

Having proper body armor allows me to help others more effectively because it gives me the protection and confidence I need to act quickly in dangerous or unpredictable situations. When I know I am protected, I can focus fully on the mission whether that is responding to violent incidents, assisting victims, or de-escalating tense situations without hesitation or distraction. Instead of worrying about my own safety in the background, I can give my full attention to making the right decisions and protecting the people in front of me.

I believe I should be selected for this body armor program because I am committed to serving my community with professionalism, integrity, and dedication. As a full-time police officer in New Iberia, I regularly respond to unpredictable and high-risk calls where reliable protective equipment is not optional, it is essential. Every shift brings something different, and there is no way to predict what the next call will involve. Receiving this body armor would allow me to perform my duties with greater confidence and consistency. It would help ensure that I can continue showing up for my community, my department, and my fellow officers, ready to handle whatever comes our way.

Owning body armor means having the protection I need to go home at the end of every shift. It represents security, responsibility, and recognizing the value of my own life as well as the lives of the people who depend on me. Every call is unpredictable, and having reliable body armor gives me the confidence to step into dangerous situations knowing I am better equipped to handle whatever comes my way.

It also symbolizes the commitment I have made to serve my community with courage and professionalism. Body armor is not just equipment, it is a reminder that the work I do matters and that my safety is worth investing in. It allows me to stay focused, stay sharp, and continue performing my duties at the highest level, knowing I have an extra layer of protection between me and the unknown.

CORY GREENFIELD | Private Investigator

I retired after 27 years in the Army and transitioned into work as armed private security. Just recently on December 25, 2025, I was on a job site and witnessed a break in. I immediately took control of the area, cleared the building, and ensured that the site was rendered safe after contacting local law enforcement to assist and take over the situation. It was only afterward that I realized I was not wearing a vest. That realization stuck with me. My career was built on training, preparation, and making sure everyone around me had what they needed to come home safely. I acted on instinct and years of experience to protect others, but I failed to ensure I was fully protected myself.

That night made me think about how easily things could have gone differently. My family could have woken up on Christmas morning to devastating news because I focused entirely on the mission and not on my own safety. In uniform, protective equipment was standard. In the civilian world, especially in private security work, it is not always provided. My company does not issue body armor, and after transitioning from military service, it honestly was not something I prioritized the way I should have. That is on me. The experience was a wake-up call that preparation does not stop just because the uniform changes.

Body armor would allow me to continue doing my job with the level of professionalism and responsibility I have carried throughout my career, but with the added protection I now realize is necessary. I want to protect others without unnecessarily putting myself at risk. I want to complete every assignment and return home at the end of the day to my family. Body armor is not just another piece of gear, it is a commitment to making sure I am as prepared for the unexpected as I expect others to be.

JOHN KURZEJESKI | Security Officer

I patrol and guard many different properties where I have to approach subjects that could be armed, and that possibility is always in the back of my mind. Every time I step toward someone who refuses to leave or is acting suspicious, there is that thought that things could turn serious in a split second. With this armor, I would feel much safer approaching subjects in those situations to ask them to leave the properties. It would give me the confidence to do my job thoroughly instead of holding back because of fear. My responsibility is to keep the properties and the people on them safe, and having that added protection would help me do that more effectively.

I work overnights, which increases my chances of confronting situations where I could absolutely need armor. Most people are asleep during my shift, and that is often when trouble happens. Backup can take time, and in those first few moments, I am the one standing there. Knowing I have reliable protection on my side would allow me to focus on handling the situation instead of worrying about what could happen to me. It would help me feel safer and give me peace of mind, not just for myself but for my family.

For me, owning body armor could be the difference between life or death. It means feeling safe and protected while I am out there doing what I need to do to support my family. It means having a better chance of returning home at the end of every shift, being there for my kids, and continuing to provide for them. I work hard to support my family, and I simply cannot afford armor like this on my own. The fact that you offer a program to help people like me is truly amazing, and it gives guys like me a real chance to stay safe while we do our jobs.
