As Spring 2026 gets underway, this March we are proud to continue our mission to equip people whom serve and protect with life-saving body armor through our Guardian Angel Program. Our Guardian Angel Program exists to support the individuals who selflessly protect their families, communities, and country, ensuring they have access to the protection they deserve.
We will continue donating FREE HG2 Concealable Level IIIA Multi-Threat Vests to individuals who try to go above and beyond to protect and serve. These HG2 Panels provide top-tier ballistic protection, designed to protect against common handgun and shotgun rounds, as well as strikes and slashes. Please help us congratulate the winners for March 2026 and recognize the important work they do to keep their communities safe. We are proud to support them as we look towards supporting more deserving individuals throughout the year! If you would like to submit your application click here!

DAWN MORGAN | Law Enforcement
Wearing Safe Life Defense body armor would allow me to move toward danger so I can help others when they need it most. It would give me the protection to stay in the fight, support my fellow officers, and continue serving my community while also giving me the best chance to come home to my family.
This armor would directly impact both my ability to serve and my ability to come home safely. As a new officer, I am committed to protecting my community while understanding the risks that come with this profession. Having properly fitted body armor would give me the confidence to respond when others need help and to stay in the fight when it matters most. As a mom, it means even more. It gives my family reassurance knowing I have protection while doing my job. This program would not just be equipping me, it would be supporting my ability to serve others and be there for the people who depend on me.
Owning body armor means being able to do my job with confidence, knowing I am giving myself the best chance to go home while still showing up fully for those who need help. It represents responsibility to my community, my fellow officers, and my family, along with a commitment to serve with both courage and care. As I begin my career in law enforcement, I do not yet have personally issued body armor. This would be worn every shift and would be a critical part of my safety. As a mother and a new officer, it would mean everything to have that protection while serving my community.

RICHARD KIRKMAN | Animal Control Officer
Wearing body armor would allow me to safely and confidently handle the high-risk and emotionally charged situations I face as an Animal Control Officer. Many calls involve hostile individuals, dangerous animals, and investigations where tensions can escalate quickly. Having that added protection allows me to focus on de-escalation, communication, and protecting the public, fellow officers, and the animals involved. When personal risk is reduced, I can stay calm, think clearly, and continue serving my community without hesitation.
I am requesting this body armor for safety. I often work alone and enter unknown environments where weapons may be present. This equipment would greatly increase my ability to return home safely to my family while continuing to serve the citizens and animals of my community. This support would directly contribute to public safety and allow me to continue my work with professionalism and care.
Owning body armor means peace of mind and an added layer of protection while serving others. It allows me to do my job with confidence, knowing I have taken steps to protect myself in unpredictable situations. It also means I can continue helping others without becoming a victim myself. Animal Control Officers are often overlooked when it comes to protective equipment, despite facing many of the same risks. This armor would not only protect me, but help ensure I can keep serving both the community and the animals that rely on me.

ANTHONY MONTOYA | Corrections Officer
Working in corrections often times leads to stepping into tense and unpredictable situations. Wearing body armor would allow me to respond with confidence when de-escalating conflicts, assisting coworkers, and protecting inmates during emergencies. Outside of work, I am a father of three girls, and having proper protection means I can also be prepared to keep others safe if something happens in public. This gear would let me focus fully on helping people without second-guessing my own safety.
My job puts me in situations where safety is not optional, it is part of the responsibility. In corrections, you never know when you will walk into a volatile moment, and having the right protection can make all the difference. As a father, my priority is making sure I can come home to my daughters every day while still serving my community. Receiving body armor would remove a financial barrier and give me the security I need to do my job the right way.
To me, owning body armor means protection, stability, and peace of mind. It represents having the right tools to do my job safely while honoring my responsibility to my family. In corrections, situations can escalate quickly, and reliable armor can be the difference in making it home. It is not about looking tough, it is about being prepared, staying alive, and doing what it takes to get back to my girls.
