I will be able to feel confident patrolling my sectors, the police department has denied me a new vest and the shell. I have had this same one since starting 3 years ago and the shell has ripped and I took it in and they informed me that they could not issue me a new one.
I believe that I should be chosen as a recipient because I know that I am a very humble person and if someone needs help more then me I should hope they get chosen. However, I would be very grateful for this as I could use the money that I would save or my children.
This is a life saving tool for me and it literally would save my life and make me feel safe out patrolling.

As a police officer, I help others daily. Unfortunately our department issued armor only stops a pistol caliber bullet. FRAS armor would greatly increase confidence in responding to certain calls.
I use body armor for work on a daily basis. An opportunity to display functionality to the rest of my co-workers may spark a much needed change to upgrade the entire department’s soft body armor.
Owning body armor means much more peace of mind in returning home safely to your family every day.
Any consideration is greatly appreciated, though I will eventually just buy the FRAS armor out of pocket when funds become readily available. Any form of discount would be a great help. I hope to be able to show others that rifle rated armor is a basic necessity for all officers in the field.

I am a new officer who is looking forward to a long career in law enforcement and being able to help as many people as I encounter. With the additional protection it will allow me to be able to react quicker to high level threats and preserve life.
Being a new officer who recently became a husband and starting a family, I would love for my wife to be able to know her husband is as safe as possible on duty.
